Boot Barn Invites High School Rodeo State Finals Winners to Be Featured in Future Stars of Rodeo Campaign

IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/09/14 -- Boot Barn®, America's largest western and work store, is accepting nominations of high school state rodeo competitors for the company's third annual Future Stars of Rodeo Campaign, which celebrates the hard work and talent of student athletes.

High school rodeo competitors, friends, and family can visit www.bootbarn.com/nhsra to submit a nomination, stories and photos. Nominations are being accepted through June 15, 2014. Five young men and five young women will be selected and listed on the website on July 17, 2014, based on their nominations and placement at their state rodeo finals. Each selected student will receive a $250 Boot Barn gift card and be featured in Boot Barn's print and outdoor billboard advertising during the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyoming. All 10 Future Stars of Rodeo will be featured on www.bootbarn.com/nhsra where fans, friends and family can vote for their favorite competitor from July 17th through July 22nd. The female and male with the most votes will each win four tickets to WNFR in Las Vegas in December, shared hotel accommodations for their family for two nights and a $1,200 transportation allowance.

"Boot Barn has been a proud sponsor of NHSRA for the past six years," said Jayme Maxwell, Vice President of Marketing, Boot Barn. "In 2013, hundreds of high school rodeo athletes were nominated, which made selecting the top 10 very difficult. These students excel in rodeo, school and life. If you are, or know, a high school rodeo athlete whose hard work will lead them to place in their state rodeo finals, visit our website and nominate them!"

Aaron Williams, from Norco, Calif., was a featured Future Star of Rodeo in 2013. "Working with Boot Barn, being on billboards and in magazines was a great experience," said Williams. "A lot of my friends and family are still talking about it."
