Zayo Group, LLC (“Zayo”), an international provider of Bandwidth Infrastructure, today announced it will open a new office in downtown Denver. The office, expected to open in August 2014, will be Boulder-based Zayo’s fourth office along the Front Range.
Zayo’s new 24,000-square-foot space is located at 1621 18th Street in the 18th Street Atrium building and adjacent to the recently revitalized Union Station. Zayo has 1,500 employees worldwide, including more than 400 employees based in Colorado.
“Colorado’s telecommunications industry continues to be a significant driver of our state’s economy and Colorado is growing as a key geographical hub of technology and innovation,” said Dan Caruso, chairman and CEO of Zayo Group. “Given the industry’s deep roots in Denver, establishing a larger local presence was an important strategic goal for Zayo. We look forward to engraining ourselves into Denver’s vibrant startup and entrepreneurial scene.”
Zayo’s other Colorado offices are located in Boulder, Louisville, and Greenwood Village. The company operates in 45 states and in major European markets. Zayo Group has been recognized by local organizations and news outlets, including ColoradoBiz Magazine, Denver Business Journal, Colorado Technology Association, and Boulder Chamber of Commerce.
