Downtown Miami Hotel Gets a Jump on the Holidays With Special Party Packages

At the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, Seasonal Soirees Feel Like Early Holiday Gifts

MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/11/14 -- Preparation, as they say, is key to success, even when it comes to planning a holiday party. Whether businesses are looking to celebrate a successful quarter, nonprofits want to facilitate a holiday fundraiser or groups just want to eat, drink and be merry during the most festive time of year, the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay has both the space and a Holiday Party Package to make every event an unforgettable one. And the time to plan it is now.

Memorable events begin with distinctive spaces, and when it comes to ballrooms in Miami, this property holds the upper hand. Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay is completing a renovation of their banquet space to be completed by October 10th, just in time for the holiday season! The hotel boast 23 function rooms with an impressive 20,000 square feet of space, many of those rooms feature waterfront views. The Bayview Ballroom, for example, can accommodate up to 200 people with views of the marina, and the Hibiscus Island room overlooks Biscayne Bay. This hotel near the Port of Miami even offers outdoor event spaces like the Marina Terrace and Bayfront Terrace.

Unique among hotels near Wynwood Miami, the property offers guests a convenient location, spectacular ambience (courtesy of those ocean views) and a distinctive, modern aesthetic. The only thing that could improve upon this magical alchemy is the catering. And, once again, this hotel delivers. Thanks to its 2014 Holiday Party Package, the hotel can transform any of its enviable spaces into a seasonal wonderland for lunch or dinner.

Plated and buffet lunch options include a three-hour event, soft drinks and iced tea and white tablecloths accented by holiday-hued napkins, not to mention mouthwatering menu choices. Seafood bisque, Key West mahi mahi and Florida citrus-and-sundried-strawberry salad are just a few of the regionally-inspired options available at just $40 (plated) and $45 (buffet) per person.

Few Miami cruise-port hotels can rival this property's panache when presenting more formal affairs like a cocktail reception or dinner. And the Holiday Party Package's choices promise value and good taste in every sense. A two-hour cocktail reception, for example, includes a beer and wine bar, three passed hors d'oeuvres and two reception stations with options like vegetable spring rolls, coconut shrimp, mini-chicken cordon bleu and mini-beef Wellington. A four-hour plated dinner event, however, steals the show. In addition to an open bar and butler-passed hors d'oeuvres, the package includes a three-course dinner. Choices range from Tuscan chicken breast ($95 per person), to grilled sirloin ($98 per person), to surf and turf ($115 per person) and beyond.

A buffet dinner option for $120 per person and a variety of upgrades with regard to the bar and décor are available for guests who enjoy the art of customization. But the Holiday Party Package simplifies many of the logistics by waiving setup fees and including features like a dance floor, candles for the table and even a Christmas tree. Preparation, in other words, pays off with abundant holiday cheer at this bayside destination.

Thanks to Docker, it becomes very easy to leverage containers to build, ship, and run any Linux application on any kind of infrastructure. DevOps is about increasing efficiency, but nothing is more inefficient than building the same application twice. However, this is a routine occurrence with enterprise applications that need both a rich desktop web interface and strong mobile support. With recent technological advances from Isomorphic Software and others, it is now feasible to create a rich desktop and tuned mobile experience with a single codebase, without compromising performance or usability.

Application metrics, logs, and business KPIs are a goldmine. It’s easy to get started with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) – you can see lots of people coming up with impressive dashboards, in less than a day, with no previous experience. Going from proof-of-concept to production tends to be a bit more difficult, unfortunately, and it tends to gobble up our attention, time, and money.
