DETROIT, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/14 -- In an effort to strengthen the cloud ecosystem and heighten awareness of the importance of third-party business applications available to Salesforce users, nine SaaS providers have established the Cloud Collective. Inspired by the community surrounding the AppExchange, this membership-based organization of software and app vendors currently consists of Arrowpointe, Bizible, Bracket Labs, Cirruspath, Esna, LevelEleven, RingLead, Spanning and UberConference.
"As the world's #1 CRM platform, Salesforce has given rise to countless apps and CRM integrations that make tracking and monitoring organizational data a seamless and encouraging process," said Ryan Huff, CEO and Co-founder, Cirruspath. "By aligning forces with top innovators in the Salesforce1 AppExchange, the Cloud Collective hopes to further educate the Salesforce community about the variety of apps at their fingertips and better serve the distinct needs of sales, customer support, marketing and IT teams."
In addition to educating Salesforce users about different apps and integrations, the Cloud Collective will work together to both secure and recommend new business within the entity. Many of the companies involved already share an integrated workflow, and the coalition seeks to further align those relationships founded on a set of shared goals. As the Salesforce1 AppExchange rapidly grows, the Cloud Collective will represent apps across diverse business categories.
"Companies are looking to transform the way they connect with customers, partners and employees to thrive in the today's connected world," said Ron Huddleston, Senior Vice President, Global AppExchange & Partner Program, salesforce.com. "By leveraging the power of the Salesforce1 Customer Platform, members of the Cloud Collective provide customers with the proven social, mobile and connected cloud technologies to accelerate business success."

Fundamentally, SDN is still mostly about network plumbing. While plumbing may be useful to tinker with, what you can do with your plumbing is far more intriguing. A rigid interpretation of SDN confines it to Layers 2 and 3, and that's reasonable. But SDN opens opportunities for novel constructions in Layers 4 to 7 that solve real operational problems in data centers. "Data center," in fact, might become anachronistic - data is everywhere, constantly on the move, seemingly always overflowing. Net...
