Allen Morgan Joins OxCEPT as Strategic Advisor

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/14 -- OxCEPT, the technology company behind the development of the world's most secure protocols for transmitting data, today announced that venture capitalist Allen Morgan has joined its team as Strategic Advisor.

Mr. Morgan will work with OxCEPT's executive team providing insight and counsel to support the company's go-to-market and channel partner efforts as it launches into the financial technology sector initially with mobile payment apps, followed by expansion into mobile communications and sector verticals.

Morgan, who LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman named as one of the VC's that he most highly recommends said, "I wanted to team up with OxCEPT because I thought it was the most innovative, but also workable, approach to security, both online and mobile, I had seen. OxCEPT technology solves many of the problems other security solutions can't, particularly in the mobile payments space."

"In this market, the need for strong, but simple-to-use, solutions that are massively scalable is enormous. The fact that the OxCEPT solution offers this in spades gives the company a terrific market opportunity. I'm looking forward to being part of the team building a great company here."

OxCEPT's proprietary patented technology enables information to be transmitted securely between any and all devices. Spanning consumer and enterprise, the cross platform, front-end mobile application and back-end server system provides an additional layer of military-grade security to remedy vulnerabilities currently inherent in mobile communications and mobile payment transaction processing.

OxCEPT Co-Founder and CEO Perry M. Anderson said, "Allen brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and expertise to technology related ventures. He has an extensive portfolio of investments which he has been instrumental in seeing through to exit. He is also deeply connected into the Silicon Valley ecosystem and beyond. We are fortunate to have Allen on board and look forward to his contributions during the next phase of the company's growth."

Shawn Modarresi, OxCEPT Co-Founder and President, said: "We are very excited to have Allen Morgan join the OxCEPT team. His decades of experience in both the sherpa world and in his capacity as a technological evangelist will help further our mission as a security software company. Allen not only brings an industry compass, but also the crystal ball of the tech industry that only a handful of firms in Silicon Valley have access to. We are confident that our transformative security protocol combined with Allen's expertise will allow us to swiftly shift the security software space to resolve copious vulnerabilities throughout the industry."

Mr. Morgan is a member of the boards of Idealab, Fab.com, Klout, Skycatch, ViralHeat and Plex, as well as several Idealab operating companies.
