OTTAWA, ON -- (Marketwired) -- 06/16/14 -- N-able by SolarWinds, a global leader in remote monitoring and management (RMM) and service automation software, today announced that Renita Grewal-Kang, senior manager of global marketing, has been named to the CRN 2014 Women of the Channel list and has also been recognized as one of this year's prestigious Power 100 honorees.
The annual Women of the Channel list highlights the accomplishments of female executives within vendor, distribution and solution provider organizations and the impact they have on the advancement of the IT reseller industry. An elite subset of that list, the Power 100 also spotlights those female executives at vendor and distributor organizations whose insight and influence in their respective companies help drive channel success.
For nearly a decade, Grewal-Kang has been working within the IT channel, and specifically, with N-able's global managed service provider (MSP) partner base. In the past year, she has directed N-able's successful marketing and transitional efforts through its May 2013 acquisition by SolarWinds, a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software. Additionally, Grewal-Kang played an important role in the development and execution of N-able's annual Global Partner Summit, helped expand the company's partner enablement resources, and introduced a new partner success campaign, as well as kicked off a series of international road shows with N-able's top-rated sales team.
"Renita has been a driving force within our marketing team, generating new ideas and introducing best practices that have elevated N-able's brand equity within the channel and given our partners a platform to showcase their success as MSPs and industry leaders," says JP Jauvin, general manager, N-able by SolarWinds. "Marketing is critical to the success of N-able and our partners, and we are pleased to see Renita's accomplishments credited by CRN."
In 2013, Grewal-Kang orchestrated the successful launch of new N-able technology advancements including the award-winning N-central RMM and MSP service automation platform. She also played a key role in the recent introduction of N-central 9.4 and the new Help Desk Manager, based on SolarWinds' technology and optimized for MSPs. This is the second year she has been featured on the Women of the Channel listing and the first year she has been recognized as one of the Power 100.
"It is our privilege to acknowledge the exceptional achievements of the women in this year's Power 100," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "We are committed to raising the visibility of the contributions of women in the channel, and we applaud the far-reaching influence of these executives who are defining today's channel and helping to shape its future."
A special feature on the Women of the Channel appears in the June issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage of the Power 100 is featured online at http://www.crn.com/rankings-and-lists/wotc2014.htm.

WebRTC defines no default signaling protocol, causing fragmentation between WebRTC silos. SIP and XMPP provide possibilities, but come with considerable complexity and are not designed for use in a web environment. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Matthew Hodgson, technical co-founder of the Matrix.org, discussed how Matrix is a new non-profit Open Source Project that defines both a new HTTP-based standard for VoIP & IM signaling and provides reference implementations.
