El Capitan Canyon Introduces New Corral Cabins for Comfort Campers

Expanding the Most Comprehensive Range of Camping Options Available in the U.S.

SANTA BARBARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/18/14 -- El Capitan Canyon, the only comfort camping destination to offer such a wide range of all-season nature lodging accommodations in the U.S., announces the addition of 13 new Corral Cabins to kick off its summer season. Situated creekside, these contemporary rustic Corral Cabins join the Canyon's offerings of fully furnished Safari Tents, Canyon Yurts and Canyon Cedar Cabins along the canyon floor. Bike and car campsites and RV sites are perched upon a bluff in its Ocean Mesa Campground.

"Summer is a special time for families and couples alike to experience our Santa Barbara sunshine 300 days a year and enjoy comfortable accommodations immersed in nature," said Managing Partner Terri Bowman. "The new Corral Cabins provide an inclusive experience of all that the Canyon has to offer, yet they are slightly set apart from daily Canyon life for more privacy."

Set amidst a grove of California oaks and sycamore trees, the new Corral Cabins are located west of seasonal El Capitan Creek, where there was once a working corral. Cabins are appointed with separate living areas including a fireplace, kitchenettes with a full-size refrigerator, and full bathrooms with a tub and shower. Each cabin has a king bedroom and separate sleeping loft that sleeps up-to-three children. The Corral Cabins are heated and furnished in Western décor, and feature soft beds and down-style duvets.

With both hillside and creekside views, each cabin features a front deck with two chairs, a fire pit and picnic table just steps outside the door. Natural materials and craftsmanship, including custom woodwork using reclaimed old-growth redwood salvaged from a 60-year-old water tower on property, comfortable leather furniture and luxury linens combine to create a calm, restful and tranquil retreat. Rates for the corral cabins are $405 plus tax per night in the quiet season and $425 in the prime summer season.

Guests staying in the Corral Cabins have access to all the standard amenities of the Canyon, including using the complimentary bikes to explore the nearby beach and hiking trails, or taking advantage of the solar-heated swimming pool. This summer, guests can enjoy scheduled activities, such as yoga, story-telling, botanical hikes, stargazing and outdoor concerts. Families can enjoy bonding together by day, tackling the challenging ropes course with both high and low ropes, then gather around the fire for s'mores at night. After a day of adventure, guests can enjoy pampering and experience spa treatments in the serene Canyon Spa, choosing from a wide array of treatment choices. Other Canyon amenities include an easy hiking path to visit the goat and llama herd and organic garden (complimentary docent-led hikes to visit the farm are available Saturdays and Wednesdays during the summer), and the amazing new West Market that provides locally crafted gifts, luxury soaps and candles, beautifully stocked picnic baskets and Patagonia outdoor gear. Of course, the Canyon Market & Deli is well known for serving up everything a happy camper requires, including organic meals, organic groceries, supplies and gifts.

Just north of Santa Barbara, the Canyon is set on 350 acres of rolling hills and creek canyons and is a five-minute walk to El Capitan State Beach. During the summer months, the Canyon becomes a place for families to reconnect as it offers a no-fuss, back-to-nature camp experience. Couples can enjoy romantic getaways and groups can visit for retreats, corporate think-tanks or relaxed weddings. Family-owned since 1975, El Capitan Canyon provides affordable luxury in nature.

Docker offers a new, lightweight approach to application portability. Applications are shipped using a common container format and managed with a high-level API.
