Verne Global Recognized for Innovative Marketing Videos

Verne Global, an innovative, UK-based developer of energy efficient data center campuses, today announced that its animated videos “It’s Not Easy Bein’ Green” and “The Green Data Center Problem” have been recognized with eight industry awards this year. The most recent award wins include a Gold 2014 American Business Award (Stevie®) in the Online Video for PR: Technology category for “It’s Not Easy Bein’ Green” and a 2014 US International Film & Video Festival Certificate of Excellence for “The Green Data Center Problem.” Verne Global’s videos were also honored by The Telly Awards, one of the industry’s premier organizations acknowledging outstanding TV, video, web and film production.

The data center industry is currently facing two major challenges – the rising cost and unpredictability of power and managing unprecedented amounts of data that must be stored and processed. In order to bring greater awareness to these issues, Verne Global created a video campaign that highlighted the problems in an engaging and informative way. “It’s Not Easy Bein’ Green” is a short, animated video that features important facts and messages about the environmental impact of data centers. The video was designed specifically to illustrate the startling facts behind global IT energy usage, its impact on our environment and how we can avoid being the problem through innovative, clean energy solutions. “The Green Data Center Problem” is also an animated video that highlights the explosion of data, but shows the impact that traditional data centers are having on global climate change and how alternative solutions are available. Verne Global collaborated with 15four, a digital agency headquartered in Baltimore, to create both videos.

“These videos have allowed Verne Global to educate C-level executives, in particular CSO’s, as well as other IT decision makers on the impact that the traditional data center industry is having on the environment,” said Lisa Rhodes, vice president of marketing and sales, Verne Global. “This marketing campaign has not only allowed us to increase awareness of key industry issues, but has also highlighted alternative solutions and created a stronger engagement opportunity for Verne Global with our target audiences.”

The videos were also recognized in the 2014 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards and 2013 PR Daily Video Award.
