British Columbia Peoples Party, Canada Invites India's PM Modi to Scrap Visa Restrictions for Indo-Canadian Sikhs

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/19/14 -- Editors Note: There is a photo accompanying this press release.

British Columbia, Canada is an example of what diverse peoples can achieve when they work together, joined together in a common purpose. BC Canada will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017. British Columbians in Canada are also proud of their country and its achievements with other nations such as India. Together Canada has developed partnerships and friendships with India which emerged from the immigration and cultural exchange in areas of religion, economy, and immigration policy. Canada is a prosperous and safe country whose promise is limited only by imagination; a place where people from around the world live in harmony; a federation united at home and respected abroad. Indo-Canadians, one of the drivers of job creation and economic growth through their innovations, investments, skills, traditions and values is the result of this partnership. Together steering the economy of the province, the British Columbia Peoples Party is committed to delivering on the important issues that matters most to Indo-Canadians. This includes enhancing Canada's role as an ambassador to building safe and secure communities within the world stage, such as the Indo-Canadian partnerships.

It was in Vancouver, B.C. where East Indians first arrived in the Koma Gata Maru Ship. At the time B.C. charged a head tax on the Chinese. Both the Provincial and Federal Governments have apologised for the "Dark History of 100 years". Now comes a new chapter in our history where Canadians must continue to forge new opportunities for our younger generation in order to build a fair society and a stronger economy at home and abroad.

"On behalf of the British Columbia Peoples Party and as Founder President, Vikram Bajwa, I invite you to Vancouver BC, Canada, to join us at the United Nations General Assembly, New York USA, on September 28th, 2014. I also formally request to eliminate the visa restrictions for Indo-Canadian Sikhs - 187 Indo-Canadian Sikhs, the majority of them residing in our province of British Columbia, Canada, whose grand fathers and mothers were freedom activists and torch bearers for the Freedom Movement of India. These pioneers are well documented in Home Minister of India records, helping to usher in a new era of goodwill and friendship, between India and British Columbia, Canada."

BCPP will advocate to the Prime Minister of India urging him to grant India's non-resident community, residing in Canada, blanket clearance, so that they can go to India and visit their family, such as aging parents and relatives as well as visiting holy site such as the Golden temple Amritsar, Haridawar and Varanasi. "Your wise decision will go a long ways with reciprocation from the second generation of Indo-Canadians in British Columbia" said Sukhdev Dhillon, member BCPP.

BCPP strongly feels that the leadership by the Prime Minister of India can improve issues of brain drain of skill, partnerships in energy and resources in India with Indo-Canadians living in British Columbia.

Some developers believe that monitoring is a function of the operations team. Some operations teams firmly believe that monitoring the systems they maintain is sufficient to run the business successfully. Most of them are wrong. The complexity of today's applications have gone far and beyond the capabilities of "traditional" system-level monitoring tools and approaches and requires much broader knowledge of business and applications as a whole. The goal of DevOps is to connect all aspects of app...

When an enterprise builds a hybrid IaaS cloud connecting its data center to one or more public clouds, security is often a major topic along with the other challenges involved. Security is closely intertwined with the networking choices made for the hybrid cloud. Traditional networking approaches for building a hybrid cloud try to kludge together the enterprise infrastructure with the public cloud. Consequently this approach requires risky, deep "surgery" including changes to firewalls, subnets...

The security devil is always in the details of the attack: the ones you've endured, the ones you prepare yourself to fend off, and the ones that, you fear, will catch you completely unaware and defenseless. It's the vision of a world in which continuous Internet connectivity and addressability is embedded into a growing range of human artifacts, into the natural world, and even into our smartphones, appliances, a...
How do APIs and IoT relate? The answer is not as simple as merely adding an API on top of a dumb device, but rather about understanding the architectural patterns for implementing an IoT fabric. There are typically two or three trends: Exposing the device to a management framework Exposing that management framework to a business centric logic Exposing that business layer and data to end users. This last trend is the IoT stack, which involves a new shift in the separation of what stuff happe...
The Internet of Things is tied together with a thin strand that is known as time. Coincidentally, at the core of nearly all data analytics is a timestamp. When working with time series data there are a few core principles that everyone should consider, especially across datasets where time is the common boundary. In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Jim Scott, Director of Enterprise Strategy & Architecture at MapR Technologies, discussed single-value, geo-spatial, and log time series dat...
