Official Groundbreaking for the Saint-Apollinaire Multipurpose Centre

SAINT-APOLLINAIRE, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/14 -- The Municipality of Saint-Apollinaire, along with the Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec, today launched the construction of the multipurpose centre.

Residents of Saint-Apollinaire and the surrounding area will soon enjoy a new two-floor, 3,800 square metre multipurpose center, which will include a double gymnasium, locker rooms, multipurpose rooms, administrative offices, a parking lot and landscaping.

--  The Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec committed to
    contribute up to $3.23 million each, with the Municipality of Saint-
    Apollinaire contributing $3.24 million. The total eligible cost of the
    project is estimated at $9.7 million.
--  The federal funding will come from the 2007 Building Canada Fund-Major
    Infrastructure Component, the objective of which is to fund public
    infrastructure having a national or regional impact.
--  The Quebec government's contribution is being made under the Quebec
    Infrastructure Plan, which will be used to invest $11.5 billion in 2014-
    2015.
