NEC showcased its innovative solutions for cities and exhibits at its City Operation Centre (COC) simulating a wide variety of city environments, such as public spaces, critical facilities, factories, stadiums, rail and transit, as well as the possibilities of effective management through visualization, real-time analysis and prediction of events. Demonstrations highlighted the process of capturing data through sensors placed throughout the city, monitoring and predicting incidents by comparing data collected in real-time with historical data.
Moreover, NEC's facial recognition solution NeoFace was demonstrated for its security applications. NeoFace can be used to monitor facilities in order to confirm the identity of individuals whose facial images have been recorded by the system or to analyze unusual behaviors in a crowd.
