Resolution Products, a leader in wireless communication solutions for the security industry, unveiled the Helix™ security platform at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Nashville Tennessee. Helix is the first professional security panel designed from the start to deliver interactive security and home automation services from the consumers’ chosen mobile devices.

The Helix panel introduces a revolutionary new architecture to the security industry. It is the first fully wireless system that can be installed anywhere in the home. This not only ensures a more discreet and secure system; it also gives the dealers the cost effective and consistent installation process they need to drive down account creation costs.
“Helix is more than just another new security panel,” said Brian Seemann, President of Resolution Products. “It is a revolutionary new architecture and technology that knocks down costly hurdles faced by dealers every day. Helix leverages the phones and tablets already adopted by consumers, plus its high performance wireless easily covers large homes. This enables the control panel to be installed near the home network, making the system more secure and far more cost effective.”
The Helix platform enables monitoring and control through a partnership with SecureNet Technologies. The combined offering transforms how interactive controls are delivered, providing faster reaction to commands than any other interactive security offering. This is accomplished by processing all in-home connectivity through a Bluetooth® LE connection, an industry first. Remote communications with the Helix platform are performed over an “always-on” connection maintained with the SecureNet service. SecureNet maintains this connection whether using broadband or cellular communications. These approaches allow the panel to provide the responsiveness required to maintain a dealer’s high-valued customers.
“SecureNet wasn’t just trying to duplicate interactive service offerings. We share Resolution’s view of innovation, designing our solution to address frustrations expressed with other offerings,” said Andrew Wilson, President of SecureNet Technologies. “Our central station receiver technology can be freely adopted by all monitoring centers, allowing them to offer interactive lifestyle services that respond instantly from anywhere in the world.”
Helix is the latest innovation from Resolution Products, leveraging technology the company has been delivering for over 5 years. Resolution has deployed more than 100,000 interactive gateway modules enabling SecureNet services. This proven technology, combined with a full line of industry leading sensors, allows customers to transition quickly and confidently to this platform.
Helix will begin evaluations by several customers in July, and will be openly available to all dealers on December 15th, 2014.

Then the reality is that most enterprises are embarking on a hybrid cloud...

When you set off to build an app that will change the world, designing your system architecture to be reliable and scalable is important but the stark reality is that, for your MVP, you probably had a “need for speed” (of development).
