At CE Week 2014, Thinium Technologies, creators of innovative, stylish, and versatile products for on-the-go charging, today announced that its award-winning, ultra-slim, portable charger for mobile devices, the Thinium Charge, is now available for pre-order on Prelaunch.com. In addition, the Micro-USB version of the company’s newly announced Thinium Connex, a tangle-free, retractable USB cable that will charge and sync mobile devices from a computer or any USB source, is also available for pre-order on Prelaunch.com.
“At Thinium, our goal is to create a new class of versatile, ultra-thin, portable charging products that consumers can keep with them all the time,” said Peter Greenberg, CEO of Thinium. “Now, with the opportunity to pre-order the Charge and Connex through Prelaunch.com, you’ll never be caught without a charging solution again.”
The Thinium Charge, recognized by Popular Mechanics with a 2014 CES Editors’ Choice Award, allows for smartphone charging directly from a standard wall outlet, without the need for a cable. For total versatility, it also has an integrated USB cable, hidden within the card’s clean edges, that allows users to charge and sync from a computer or any USB charging source. When not in use, the clever design hides and protects the connector, USB cable, and foldable wall blades, transforming into a compact, self-encased unit that is about the size of a credit card and fits easily into a wallet, pocket or purse.
The Thinium Connex, an ultra-slim, retractable USB cable solution for mobile devices, offers the utmost in portability, durability and versatility. Connex’s self-winding retractable cable allows for quick, tangle-free storage after charging and syncing your smartphone, tablet or GPS device, and the compact, minimalist design is perfect for in-the-home or on-the-go use. With a USB to micro-USB cable, users can charge and sync all their micro-USB devices and easily control the cable length – from 2” to over 2’ -- for a perfect fit in your car, on a desk, at the nightstand and more.
Available now for pre-order on PreLaunch.com is both the Apple Lightening and micro-USB versions of the Thinium Charge. Both products sell for MSRP $49.99 and can be ordered in black, white and gold finishes. The Thinium Connex is available for pre-order in the micro-USB connector version for Android and Windows phones for MSRP $19.99. At launch, the product will come in red, charcoal and black soft touch finishes. A version of the Connex with an Apple Lightning connector (MSRP $24.99) will be coming soon.

Then the reality is that most enterprises are embarking on a hybrid cloud strategy and programs. In this Power Panel at 15th Cloud Expo (http://www.CloudComputingExpo.com...

Docker offers a new, lightweight approach to application portability. Applications are shipped using a common container format and managed with a high-level API. Their processes run within isolated namespaces that abstract the operating environment independently of the distribution, versions, network setup, and other details of this environment. This "containerization" has often been nicknamed "the new virtualization." But containers are more than lightweight virtual machines. Beyond their small...

The move in recent years to cloud computing services and architectures has added significant pace to the application development and deployment environment. The Internet of Things (IoT) is nothing if not an endless proliferation of details. It's the vision of a world in which continuous Internet connectivity and addressability is embedded into a growing range of human artifacts, into the natural world, and even into our smartphones, appliances, a...
