WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/14 -- The National Business Group on Health today honored 63 U.S. employers for their ongoing commitment to promoting healthy work environments and encouraging workers to live healthier lifestyles. The honored employers, including eight first-time winners, were presented with "2014 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles®" awards at the Business Group's Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being Leadership Summit held in Washington, DC.
Now in its tenth year, the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles® awards recognizes those employers that have responded to the urgent need to improve their employees' health, productivity and quality of life. The underlying goal of the program is to encourage all employers to take action.
Brian Marcotte, President and CEO of the National Business Group on Health, commented: "We are very pleased to honor this group of companies that are dedicated to wellness and health improvement programs. Their commitment to promote a healthy work environment and to partner with employees to pursue healthy lifestyles is to be commended. Docker offers a new, lightweight approach to application portability. Applications are shipped using a common container format and managed with a high-level API. Their processes run within isolated namespaces that abstract the operating environment independently of the distribution, versions, network setup, and other details of this environment. This "containerization" has often been nicknamed "the new virtualization." But containers are more than lightweight virtual machines. Beyond their small...
