MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/14 -- In an effort to help sick children who face lengthy hospital stays as well as their families, Matt Argall made a generous donation to Pascale's Pals, a non-profit corporation based in Columbia, Missouri, that was founded for exactly this purpose. Argall, a renowned entrepreneur, business advisor and philanthropist from Miami, Florida, has been giving money to the foundation for many years and hopes that his example will inspire others to follow suit. While Argall is an active philanthropist who supports many local and international causes and organizations, Pascale's Pals is especially close to his heart for a very personal reason: Pascale, the girl who gave the foundation its name, is his cousin.
"When Pascale was two years old she was diagnosed with acute leukemia," Matt Argall remembers. "After that horrendous news she had to face a long and tough battle against the cancer. She had to go through many courses of treatment and experienced a serious relapse in 2000. But Pascale is a tough cookie -- today, she is doing very well. She has become an amazing and happy young woman and a successful college student." Pascale was so thankful for the support that she experienced throughout those traumatic years that she and her mother decided to found "Pascale's Pals" in order to help other families who are facing similar difficulties during the hospitalization of their children.
Individual donations are not the only source of funding though. In March, Pascale's Pals hosted their annual benefit auction in Columbia where guests could enjoy a swanky dinner, live music, dancing and a silent auction. The money raised through the event went straight to the Women and Children's Hospital in Columbia. There it was used for a variety of projects that all aim at relieving the stress and the burden of parents and their children who are staying at the hospital. The colorful playground in front of the hospital building is just one of those projects. Others include flat screen TVs, Wii systems and DVD players in all 34 rooms as well as chairs and sleeper beds in every room to make sure that parents can stay overnight, comfort their sick children, and keep them company.
Matt Argall lives with his wife and son in Miami, Florida, which has also become the center of his business endeavors. He started out in the business world at the young age of 17 by bringing a dwindling online company back to life. From there, he went on to explore industry after industry, successfully launching a number of businesses, resulting in a great reputation as international entrepreneur, savvy business partner and innovator who never shies away from exploring new ideas. Thanks to almost two decades of experience, Matt has become a sought-after business advisor who is happy to share his wisdom with young and motivated startups that are looking to gain foothold in today's markets. In his free time, Matt loves to play with his son and spend quality time with his wife Maya. In addition, he is a very engaged philanthropist who supports local charities as well as international organizations.
