PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 06/27/14 -- The Arizona Lottery announces the winning ticket for the $1.3 million The Pick jackpot for the drawing on Wednesday, June 25, has been claimed.
Julian Salazar, an Oro Valley resident, purchased the Quick Pick® winning ticket from the Fry's Food Store located at 10450 N. Las Canada Drive in Oro Valley. He claimed his winning ticket at the Arizona Lottery office in Tucson and selected the cash option of $812,500 before taxes. Salazar and his wife plan to use the winnings to buy a new car, a few household appliances and to take a vacation to Coronado, something they've always wanted to do.
"The Pick is Arizona's own jackpot game, so it is always exciting when we get to present a check to a top prize winner," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products, and communications for the Arizona Lottery.
The next drawing for The Pick is Saturday, June 28, for an estimated $1 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.
