Renesas Electronics America Awards Express Logic Platinum Partner Status

Renesas Electronics America, a leading supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, is pleased to announce it has awarded Express Logic Platinum status for the Americas in the company’s Alliance Partner Program. Platinum status is given in recognition of the high value Express Logic brings to Renesas customers through its fully integrated software platform for embedded system development that enables the creation and deployment of exciting new products not only in the Americas, but throughout the world.

The Renesas Alliance Partner Program consists of more than 800 companies that complement a customer’s in-house design and development expertise with additional design consultants, software partners, programming houses, tool vendors and manufacturing companies that all team to speed time to market. Only an elite group of partners are recognized by Renesas for platinum status.

“Renesas welcomes Express Logic to its select group of platinum partners,” says Ritesh Tyagi, vice president of marketing for Renesas Electronics America. “We have long recognized the benefit of providing our customers with comprehensive software solutions for their embedded system designs. Express Logic has billions of successful ThreadX RTOS deployments, certification for safety-critical applications, and a broad portfolio of stacks and libraries supporting our microcontroller families. The combination of Renesas and Express Logic gives our customers a competitive advantage through more productive product design and faster market entry.”

The strength of the Renesas/Express Logic relationship is currently showcased in the RZ Express program. The RZ Express program includes high-performance microprocessors (MPUs), easy-to-use real-time operating system (RTOS), and comprehensive middleware solutions ideal for high-resolution displays used in the design of human-machine interface (HMI) applications. Embedded designers developing a commercial application with any Renesas RZ/A1 high-performance MPU now have the opportunity to obtain a valuable single-product license for Express Logic’s ThreadX® RTOS at no cost. This includes any Express Logic middleware components required to complete the application—NetX™, USBX™, FileX®, and GUIX™. Additionally, free software support and maintenance is provided for 90 days.

John Carbone, vice president of marketing at Express Logic, comments, "We are honored and delighted to be awarded platinum status by Renesas Electronics America. It’s great validation of the value our products bring to the embedded design industry, and the benefit customers can receive from the combination of Express Logic’s high-quality software and the powerful Renesas processors it supports. With platinum partner recognition, we look forward to extending our proven solutions to even more developers in North and South America.”
