HOLLAND, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 06/30/14 -- Fast-emerging indie pop artist Kanisha K (www.kanishakmusic.com) starts the summer hotter than ever, with her new single "Bring Me Home" continuing its rise as the #1 Most Added track on the FMQB AC Add Board for an incredible four weeks in a row -- and a giant leap from #31 to #24 on the main FMQB AC40 Chart.
The Holland, Mich.-based artist has been keeping superstar company all spring, and this week (on the chart ending June 24) is no exception as she ties for first on the Add Board with Maroon 5 -- and finds herself just ahead of Neon Trees, Katy Perry and Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake on the main chart.
Kanisha K's track, the follow-up to her breakthrough hit "My Another Day," also made an impressive jump from #49 to #34 with a bullet on the Mediabase AC Chart, "Bring Me Home" is also at #42 (up from #49) with a bullet on the on the BDS (Broadcast Data Systems) chart, which reports Billboard A/C activity. On the BDS list, she is just behind Train and John Mayer and a few slots above Maroon 5.
Kanisha has also received a second Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the category of Best Pop Song for her tune "Stupid Boyfriend." Previously, she had earned a nomination in the same category for "My Another Day."
"Bring Me Home" was produced by veteran producer and artist Larry King (Soleil Moon, lead vocalist in the Michael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago's top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.
"My Another Day," which was a Top 40 hit on the Mediabase A/C chart, reached #5 on the FMQB AC40 Chart alongside superstars like Pharrell Williams, Daughtry, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry and Lorde.
