TAMUNING, GUAM -- (Marketwired) -- 07/04/14 -- A local political activist has announced an establishment of an official association headquartered in Guam, Micronesia this month by H.E. Cary Lee Peterson, a Main Representative of a non-governmental organization in Special ECOSOC Status at United Nations and European Parliament for United Nations War on Human Trafficking Association (WOHT) and United Nations Association of Micronesian Islands (UNAMI).

The two UN/EU affiliated organizations were established to aggregate a group of member organizations that support awareness and financial aid to thematic goals of United Nations, European Union, and local government of Micronesian Islands on sexual violence, cyber-rights, human trafficking, and social/economic development in the Pacific Island region.

The efforts with World Federation of United Nations Association and United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs are in pursuit and there are activities scheduled to initiate steps on engagement to hold awareness forums on thematic causes for the organizations that will commence their presence regionally and globally.

WOHT has its first awareness forum scheduled for August 9, 2014 at University of Guam - Theatre. Future event dates will be published on the organization website.
