IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/08/14 -- Project management software developer Project Insight (www.projectinsight.net) announced today that its software is now integrated with Box's (www.box.com) document sharing solution. The Box integration enables project teams to leverage all the external storage system features of Box from within the Project Insight project management software application. This integration represents a continuation of Project Insight's commitment to its best of breed strategy, allowing project teams to 'live' in their portfolio and project management system, while accessing other specialized software applications from within Project Insight.
Box is a versatile online file sharing system that permits documents to be stored securely and shared from anywhere. Now the files may be stored in Box yet accessed from within Project Insight. This allows the core project team to leverage advanced features of Project Insight such as file version control and approvals, while maintaining only one copy of each file in Box. Keeping only one copy also means that the files do not take up storage space within Project Insight.
Software users will discover that Project Insight has placed special emphasis on the synchronization of folders and files from Box to the Project Insight File System. Once a folder is synchronized with Box, users can continue to update that folder and its files within the project management solution. Any new files or documents posted in Box will automatically appear in Project Insight.
