Emerging Pop Singer Kanisha K's 'Bring Me Home' Holds Steady Among Hits by Superstar Artists in the Top 20 of the FMQB AC40 Chart

HOLLAND, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 07/11/14 -- The summer is in full swing, and Kanisha K (www.kanishakmusic.com) follows a spectacular 4th of July week on the Adult Contemporary charts by holding steady among some of today's biggest pop superstars with her latest hit "Bring Me Home."

On the FMQB AC40 Chart, the rising songstress follows her huge six-point leap into the Top 20 with an upward move from #18 to #17 with a bullet -- just behind John Legend, Pharrell Williams and Magic!

"Bring Me Home" has a +71 spin increase as the #4 Most Added track on the chart this week, behind Maroon 5, Better Than Ezra and Avicii.

The track, the follow-up to her breakthrough hit "My Another Day," held steady at #33 on the Mediabase AC Chart, just behind Train and Katy Perry and ahead of Imagine Dragons, David Guetta and Richard Marx.

"Bring Me Home" is also up to #40 (up from #41) with a bullet on the BDS (Broadcast Data Systems) chart, which reports Billboard A/C activity. On the BDS list, she is in company with Coldplay, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Mariah Carey and The Fray.

Kanisha K recently snagged a second Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the category of Best Pop Song for her tune "Stupid Boyfriend." Her first nomination is in the same category for "My Another Day."

"Bring Me Home" was produced by veteran producer/artist Larry King (Soleil Moon, lead vocalist in the Michael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago's top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.

The track was engineered and mixed by Grammy Award winner Craig Bauer, whose credits include Kanye West, The O'Jays, 98 Degrees, Richard Marx, Styx, Dave Koz, Public Enemy, Brian Culbertson, Nick Carter, Straight No Chaser and others.
