NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/14/14 -- Undertone, a leader in digital advertising solutions for brands, today announced the launch of PageGrabber X, an immersive and interactive full-page takeover advertising format that serves seamlessly across smartphones, tablets, and desktops. PageGrabber X extends the company's popular desktop PageGrabber® format to mobile devices through a single creative built with responsive design. A live version of PageGrabber X is available to view here.
Built in HTML5, PageGrabber X serves on all devices from a single creative. The unit dynamically optimizes to best take advantage of the screen size, features, and functionality of individual devices, including their device orientation and interaction model (click and drag vs. tap and swipe). Because it uses the maximum amount of available screen real estate every time it is delivered, PageGrabber X is inherently viewable on all screens.
PageGrabber X was developed using the Undertone Impact Accelerator®, a proprietary framework which allows Undertone to rapidly launch, manage, and scale cross-screen responsive formats. This ensures an optimal creative experience regardless of changes in Web, browser, or device technology. Undertone Impact Accelerator's growing library of interactive capabilities allows clients to integrate social media feeds, photos, videos, countdown clocks, and animations into their messaging that will resize and render perfectly for any screen.
"Since its launch in 2010, PageGrabber has consistently been our most popular and successful format," said Undertone co-founder Eric Franchi. "We've seen that advertisers are drawn to its interactivity and attention-grabbing experience; hundreds of brands have chosen PageGrabber for their campaigns. We're very excited to now be able to offer our clients the ability to easily extend the PageGrabber experience from desktops to mobile devices." A 2013 research study conducted by Ipsos ASI and Undertone showed that PageGrabber drives 124% greater unaided brand recall and 167% greater brand recognition than standard display ads; PageGrabber also rated 49% higher in ad likeability than standard display.
In a world where consumers are increasingly accessing the Web from multiple devices, PageGrabber X gives brands the power to easily reach their audiences with a consistent, impactful message that is optimized for all screen sizes and device capabilities. Because the unit is served from a single platform, Undertone is also able to able to track multiple engagement metrics across devices and provide advertisers with a unified view into how their audience interacts with brand messages. The new format is supported by an end-to-end service layer within Undertone, including creative development and consultancy, and full technical development.
Undertone is a digital advertising company that sits at the intersection of media, creative and technology. We develop immersive high impact, video, and display ad units that enable brands to engage consumers beyond the confines of traditional banner ads. Through our technology platforms, we deliver these ads across screens and devices on a handpicked portfolio of publisher partners. Find out more at www.undertone.com.
