Red Pocket Mobile Selects Zipmark Digital Checks for Purchases by Wireless Dealers and Customers Nationwide

Red Pocket Launches the First Zipmark Integration With Magento E-Commerce Platform

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/21/14 -- Zipmark™, an innovative digital check payment platform, announced today a partnership with Red Pocket Mobile that will enable Red Pocket Mobile customers to top-up their wireless accounts using secure digital checks at RedPocket.com. To improve the transaction experience, Zipmark's digital check API has been integrated to Red Pocket's Magento-based portal, allowing users and wireless dealers to seamlessly pay with their checking accounts.

Launched in 2006, Red Pocket Mobile offers no-contract wireless service throughout the United States on the country's top four wireless networks. With Red Pocket's "Bring Your Own Device" starter kits sold in Target, Fry's Electronics, and thousands of other retail locations across the country, anyone with a compatible phone can quickly switch it to Red Pocket Mobile, keep the same phone number, get the same wireless coverage and save money.

"Red Pocket's partnership with Zipmark will give our customers added choice when it comes to paying their monthly wireless bill online," said Joshua Gordon, CEO of Red Pocket Mobile. "Using a digital check rather than a credit card makes sense for many of our customers. Teaming up with Zipmark to deliver this payment option was the obvious choice for us."

"Companies are constantly on the hunt for alternative payment methods that can speed processing times and lower transaction fees," remarked Jay Bhattacharya, CEO and co-founder of Zipmark. "Our payment platform prevailed over other competing services for Red Pocket Mobile's business because we provide a faster, more secure service with a great user experience. Working with Red Pocket to enable a Zipmark module for Magento is a step towards greater availability and ease of implementation for billing merchants."

Fundamentally, SDN is still mostly about network plumbing. While plumbing may be useful to tinker with, what you can do with your plumbing is far more intriguing. A rigid interpretation of SDN confines it to Layers 2 and 3, and that's reasonable. But SDN opens opportunities for novel constructions in Layers 4 to 7 that solve real operational problems in data centers. "Data center," in fact, might become anachronistic - data is everywhere, constantly on the move, seemingly always overflowing. Net...
What do a firewall and a fortress have in common? They are no longer strong enough to protect the valuables housed inside. Like the walls of an old fortress, the cracks in the firewall are allowing the bad guys to slip in - unannounced and unnoticed. By the time these thieves get in, the damage is already done and the network is already compromised. Intellectual property is easily slipped out the back door leaving no trace of forced entry. If we want to reign in on these cybercriminals, it's hig...
