Global data center services provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) announced today it has been selected to house the IT infrastructure for the Austin Radiological Association, a provider of quality diagnostic imaging services to referring physicians and patients in Texas.
“CyrusOne was an ideal partner to provide data center services for our operations. We were impressed with how they design and operate their innovative facilities,” said Todd Thomas, chief information officer, Austin Radiological Association. “Along with working with multiple carriers, having the necessary power redundancies, and providing disaster recovery services, their security features are top notch, which is essential in the healthcare field.”
The Austin Radiological Association has been providing imaging services to Texas since 1954, operating 16 outpatient imaging centers located in Central Texas, and supplying professional radiologist services at 21 hospitals.
“We’re very pleased to be working with the Austin Radiological Association,” said Dottie Spruce, executive vice president, sales, CyrusOne. “In addition to the range of power and connectivity capabilities our facilities offer, we have the physical security features to protect equipment housing sensitive patient data, making us an ideal data center partner for healthcare organizations concerned about meeting their HIPAA compliance obligations.”
The Austin Radiological Association is leveraging both the Austin I and Austin II data centers. Designed to CyrusOne's exceptional power, cooling, and security standards, both Austin data centers are ideal for production and disaster recovery environments for Fortune 1000 companies. In addition, the Austin Radiological Association will leverage the CyrusOne National Internet Exchange (IX) connection between the two facilities.
