“It was always my dream to start a business online. When I decided it was time to establish a professional online identity for my business, GoDaddy did more than just help me acquire the right domain name. They also enabled me to create a beautiful website, armed me with business-class email and gave me access to a host of flexible Office 365 tools that let me work anytime, anywhere on any device,” said Sukhbir Singh, Chief Executive Officer of www.dexterouss.com/. “The convenience of getting an entire suite of services in one place at an affordable price lets me focus on growing my business. GoDaddy’s fantastic customer care helped me every step of the way, making it easy to set up and manage my business’ online presence quickly and easily. Thanks to them, I now own multiple domains on GoDaddy, helping me grow my business, further.”
As part of the agreement, Microsoft has created a unique domain-based email and storage offering to cater to GoDaddy’s small business customers. GoDaddy customers have a choice between three Office 365 plans starting from as low as Rs. 149 per month. The available plans – Email Essentials, Business Essentials and Productivity Plus – are tiered with the varying needs and requirements of small businesses in mind.
“India’s millions of small and medium businesses hold the key to the growth of the economy. Our partnership with GoDaddy provides SMBs with the IT platform needed to improve their top and bottom lines though greater collaboration, customer reach, and business insight,” said Mr. Meetul Patel, General Manager, SMS&P, Microsoft India. “With Office 365, SMBs have access to scalable, reliable, and secure solutions to improve productivity. Small business owners in India can now access tools that were traditionally available and affordable only to larger enterprises.”
Office 365 offers business-class email, shared calendars, instant messaging, online conferencing and access to the most up-to-date documents. These capabilities are delivered as a cloud service available to users wherever they are, online or offline and across a variety of devices, offering access to the most up-to-date versions of the files and tools they need to get things done. Unlike some offerings designed for consumers or small businesses, Office 365 includes built-in security features that help deflect malware, spam, phishing attacks and other threats.
Office 365 from GoDaddy is now available to small business owners in India in addition to other countries including U.S., Canada, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

DevOps is about increasing efficiency, but nothing is more inefficient than building the same application twice. However, this is a routine occurrence with enterprise applications that need both a rich desktop web interface and strong mobile support. With recent technological advances from Isomorphic Software and others, it is now feasible to create a rich desktop and tuned mobile experience with a single codebase, without compromising performance or usability.

Application metrics, logs, and business KPIs are a goldmine. It’s easy to get started with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) – you can see lots of people coming up with impressive dashboards, in less than a day, with no previous experience. Going from proof-of-concept to production tends to be a bit more difficult, unfortunately, and it tends to gobble up our attention, time, and money. Thanks to Docker, it becomes very easy to leverage containers to build, ship, and run any Linux application on any kind of infrastructure. Docker is particularly helpful for microservice architectures because their successful implementation relies on a fast, efficient deployment mechanism – which is precisely one of the features of Docker. Microservice architectures are therefore becoming more popular, and are increasingly seen as an interesting option even for smaller projects, instead of bein...

Even as cloud and managed services grow increasingly central to business strategy and performance, challenges remain. The biggest sticking point for companies seeking to capitalize on the cloud is data security.
