Shift4 Brings Security, Neutrality, and Cost Savings to Pinnacle Cart Users

LAS VEGAS, NV and PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 07/24/14 -- Shift4 Corporation, provider of the world's largest independent payment gateway, and Pinnacle Cart, a leading e-commerce shopping cart solution, have completed an integration to make Shift4's DOLLARS ON THE NET® payment gateway available to merchants using Pinnacle Cart.

"Pinnacle Cart supports a number of payment integrations, but Shift4 provides features that are not available through any other vendor," said Pinnacle Cart's CEO and President Mike Auger. "Not only does Shift4's complete neutrality allow Pinnacle Cart's merchant customers to continually comparison shop for the best processing rates, it also provides some of the best payment security technologies available on the market today."

Shift4's TrueTokenization®, which they introduced to the industry in 2005, has become the standard for secure storage of cardholder data. Merchants can use TrueTokens to process current and future transactions without any of the risks or PCI requirements inherent in storing actual card data.

Pinnacle Cart users who choose this solution will also be protected by Shift4's proprietary i4Go® technology, which intercepts card data before it ever enters the merchant's network environment -- drastically simplifying PCI compliance for merchants by removing huge portions of their enterprise from the scope of annual PCI assessments.

"It's not just what this integration does have that is impressive, it's also what it does not have -- hidden fees," said Shift4's Senior Sales Engineer Brett Williams.

The integration charges no Internet authorization fees, no upcharge for AVS, and no service fees for added features. Even tokenization is included at no additional cost. Shift4's DOLLARS ON THE NET gateway includes security, pre- and post-settlement auditing, fraud prevention, and more for a flat rate of just a few pennies per transaction. Shift4's neutrality also allows them to process transactions directly to American Express, accelerating funding and saving merchants from added authorization fees.

"For merchants who see a large percentage of AMEX transactions, this feature alone may more than cover the cost for Shift4's services, resulting in a net zero charge -- or even a net positive -- for all of the services we offer," Williams said.
