MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 07/24/14 -- A host of media, realtors and community leaders gathered Tuesday, July 22 at the historic National Hotel Miami Beach for the official announcement of the Miami New Construction Show. The inaugural show, taking place next month at the Miami Beach Convention Center, builds on the momentum of recent growth in South Florida and aims to attract investors, developers, realtors and home buyers alike.
The Miami New Construction Show, with the support of the city, chamber, and Mayor's office, strives to join the ranks of the Miami International Boat Show, Miami International Auto Show, South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Art Basel. Miami Beach Mayor, Philip Levine, addressed the crowd at the event, reinforcing that the Miami Beach community stands behind the show as a welcome addition to the other major international shows.
Anita Funtek, founder and CEO of the Miami New Construction Show, thanked everyone for helping to make the show a possibility and shared her unique vision as an economist with a passion for real estate. She was also happy to announce that the keynote speaker for the opening day of the show will be Florida Governor Rick Scott.
"With the four big shows that take place in Miami every year, I thought that there was one thing missing, and that was a luxury real estate show," said Anita Funtek. "Having Governor Rick Scott speak at the show helps strengthen our presence even more because of his powerful influence and we're honored to have him join us."
To close, Peter Zalewski, real estate analyst, journalist and member of the show's Board of Directors, highlighted a new survey compiled by Cranespotters.com and sponsored by the Miami New Construction Show that reveals data detailing rank, market, minimum price per square foot and presale ration in South Florida. This survey gives realtors and buyers a deeper insight into the South Florida real estate market.
