Linguastat, the leader in automatically transforming data into optimized product descriptions for retail, announces today its patented e-commerce dynamic description services suite: Marquee. Based on highly innovative Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Generation technologies, these services improve retail sales opportunities with an end-to-end solution that automatically and consistently sharpens the relevance of product descriptions across web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
“A product’s description is the last chance a company has to engage the consumer before a buying decision is made, but too often this description is poorly written and isn’t targeted, relevant, or truly benefits-oriented,” says Linguastat CEO and co-founder John Pierre. “Our patented algorithms, originally developed for military intelligence and now converted for the B2C e-commerce market, not only automatically optimize key components of the digital sales process; they also continuously and dynamically refine their effectiveness for the retailer.”
Marquee manages the entire product data and dynamic description lifecycle. Using a benchmarking process, the solution first rates the effectiveness of a retailer’s existing e-commerce product data feed and digital content. Marquee then automatically normalizes data feeds for digital marketing programs; creates countless optimized product descriptions; and provides ongoing automatic monitoring, dynamically updating and refreshing these descriptors with new data as it becomes available.
Linguastat’s scalable solution suite, which creates thousands of product descriptions in minutes at a fraction of the cost of manual creation, solves one of the biggest challenges of Omni-channel retailing: the need to create, maintain, and continuously refresh product data for multiple platforms and customer touch points. Web, mobile, tablet and other emerging form factors each have their own optimization requirements, and new data requirements for online marketing programs, such as Google’s PLAs, have added another layer of complexity. Linguastat automates the creation and maintenance of these requirements for improved SEO and SEM performance across any consumer device.
In addition, Linguastat’s Marquee not only scales up to create targeted content for tens of thousands of SKUs; it also dynamically updates that content based on analysis of key e-commerce metrics, including search queries, site traffic, and conversion rates. It also automatically personalizes the content for a range of audiences, creating unique non-duplicated product variants, even for the same product. These variants can be targeted to a variety of customer profiles as well as to behavioral groups – such as shoppers who tend to browse using their mobile devices but complete their purchases through other channels.
“Linguastat does more than simply describe what a product is; our dynamic descriptions can tell the story about what the product does and how it solves consumers' problems and fills needs in their lives,” says Pierre. “We layer in the knowledge that we collect about how consumers actually use products. That way we can provide information in ways that help shoppers understand the value of the product information they’re getting. Our goal is always to provide unprecedented value for the consumer and therefore drive business for the retailer.”
Linguastat is a privately held company with an extraordinarily scalable service, built on highly sophisticated technology originally developed for U.S. military intelligence and converted for the business to consumer market. Retailers, brands, and agencies rely on Linguastat’s patented, algorithm-based suite of services to optimize their data feeds for digital marketing programs and to create and manage their dynamic product descriptions and other rich content for the web, mobile, and tablet channels. The Linguastat technology has unmatched ability to automatically transform data into millions of optimized and monetized descriptions and stories for all channels.

The major cloud platforms defy a simple, side-by-side analysis. Each of the major IaaS public-cloud platforms offers their own unique strengths and functionality. Options for on-site private cloud are diverse as well, and must be designed and deployed while taking existing legacy architecture and infrastructure into account. Then the reality is that most enterprises are embarking on a hybrid cloud...
