Tomboy Tools Announces New Name And Product Initiatives

NEWARK, Ohio, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tomboy Tools® is widening its scope with a new name and logo, new products, new categories and new marketing initiatives, the company announced today.

From now on, the company will do business under the name Project Home™, with the tag line, "Making your vision real."  The company will continue to use the brand name Tomboy Tools for its line of tools that are designed especially for women.

CEO Janet Rickstrew said that the new company name and initiatives mark what she anticipates to be an important step in the company's development.  "We are very excited about these actions, because we expect they will help define who we are and better show our growing scope of interest," said Ms. Rickstrew.  "We believe that we can resonate with all women who are in tune with keeping themselves and their families safe and secure."

"We want to show women how to keep their homes organized, maintained and beautiful.  In other words, we're taking a much more comprehensive view of our mission than simply as a seller of pink tools."

"Our customers can share their overall vision for their homes with our Home Consultants, and we will show how we can help make that vision come true," she added.

Tomboy Tools was founded in 2002 with a mission of building confidence and empowering women through education, quality products and an independent business opportunity.  Its products are sold by its more than 1,000 Home Consultants in the United States and Canada through home parties, using hands-on education that is fun and practical.  The company moved its headquarters from Colorado to Newark, Ohio last year.

The six categories announced today are safety and security; beautification (painting, picture hanging, cabinet hardware); organization; outdoor (gardening, mosaic tile); Tool School™ and home maintenance.  Products focusing on safety and security include home security systems, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, emergency kits for disaster preparation, and lock boxes to store such items as valuables, firearms and prescription drugs.  In the beautification category, the company has begun offering Colorhouse Paints, an environmentally friendly brand of paint.

Tomboy Tools became part of the CVSL Inc. [OTC QX: CVSL] family of companies in October 2013.  The new web address is www.projecthome.us.
