Ten Must Haves

In the technology and app era you definitely know a lot about applications and how to take the best out of them. However, not all of those handy gadgets come installed on our smartphones and tablets and it is easy to overlook them. Here are 10 android applications you maybe did not know existed and without which you will not want to live.

#1. Car Locator. Unless your car is yellow or radiantly green, you are bound to have found yourself searching for yours at a parking lot. The Details mode of this application records where your car is parked, for how long you have been parked, the distance to the car and the directions how to get there, which is very handy when you are somewhere for the first time. If you do not need all of these information, there is also the Map mode where you only have a map showing where you are and where your car is.

#2. Transit App. For the people who are new to the area and even for those who know the way, this application can mean a lot. With this app you get the insight into bus and train arrivals, the routes, the distance to the bus or train station from where you are and even when you should start walking in order to catch the transport you intended.

#3. Attendance. This application was developed for teachers, but it can be used for meetings and other purposes. By using Attendance app you can keep separate attendance records for each day for each class or group. The statuses are Absent, Present, Late, and Excuse and they can be customized. This app allows you to view records, email an entire group, email the students that were missing on a given day, send the records to individuals and many more features. There is a field for storing additional information for every student.

#6. Watch Free TV. If you need an application to watch live TV on Android, especially with a variety of local and international TV channels, then this one is right for you. The solid and simple interface of the app allows you to record the streams so that you can watch them again, and follow live sports, as well as channels from US and UK.

#7. Allthecooks. By using Allthecooks you become a member of a cooking community where you post recipes and photos of your dishes. Here you can get an insight into what ordinary people cook at home and most importantly - how. You can also watch the preparation of the dish you chose, get a recipe according to the ingredients you have and ask questions if you have any troubles.

#9. RunOnBeat. Here is a fantastic application those who love running. It allows you to create a playlist by importing songs from your phone or downloading them from the internet and saving them in the application's library. During the running sessions, the application measures your heart beat and changes the beat of the music you are listening to according to it so you are not changing the pace, heart rate or rhythm. RunOnBeat app also shows you a map of other people using the app, allowing you to join them while running if you wish.

#10. ShopAdvisor. If you know what you want but want it at the best price, this app is for you.  By scanning the bar code of your favourite products, you are creating a "watch list." Then, the application will alert you when product goes on sale. The app also includes price history charts and maps for nearby deals.
