Hillstone Networks Enters 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Threat Management

Recently recognized in Gartner’s Enterprise Network Firewalls Magic Quadrant*, Hillstone Networks, a leading provider of enterprise network firewall solutions, today announced that the company has been positioned in the Unified Threat Management Magic Quadrant by Gartner, Inc**. In its report, Gartner analysts Jeremy D'Hoinne, Adam Hils, Greg Young emphasized that buyers should focus on performance when many security functions are enabled, as well as on the knowledge and expertise of the channel partner with whom they engage.

Garter’s assessment of Hillstone Network’s UTM portfolio says, “Clients report that the UTM maintains expected performance when running multiple security modules. As a pure-play network security vendor, Hillstone Networks has a good history of executing on its road map, which gives credibility to its announcements on future improvements.” This valuation is in alignment with Gartner’s recommendation that SMB and enterprise buyers not compromise on performance when seeking security functionality from their UTM solutions. As Gartner indicates, buyers should evaluate UTM devices based on features, performance, as well as the level of support that is available to them by the channel partner or vendor.
