EASTON Announces New Product Lineup for Little League Baseball® World Series

Revolutionary EASTON MAKO TORQ Bat to Officially Make Little League Baseball Debut

WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/13/14 -- Easton, the Official Equipment Supplier to Little League Baseball and Softball, announced today that it will once again provide teams in the Little League Baseball World Series (LLBWS) with its top-of-the-line premium products. To help maximize every player's potential, each team will receive bats, batter's gloves, batter's helmets, catcher's gear, backpacks and cleats. Players will also have the opportunity to use the revolutionary yet-to-be-released EASTON® MAKO™ TORQ™ bat, which delivers truly game-changing technology.

Teams will receive EASTON HS9 custom batter's gloves, EASTON MAKO custom catcher's gear, EASTON Z5 custom batter's helmets, EASTON E100XLP backpacks, EASTON MAKO TPU custom cleats and bats, including the MAKO, MAKO XL and MAKO TORQ.

The equipment was designed specifically to help advance performance and protection in youth baseball. To improve pop-time for the throw to second base and mobility behind the plate when blocking balls, the EASTON MAKO catcher's gear features a unique design to work with the athlete's natural in-game motions.

The EASTON MAKO TORQ, which features technology that was used for the first time in baseball at this year's College World Series of Omaha®, includes a 360-degree rotating handle that allows the bottom hand to turn with the batter's swing. This unique innovation puts the batter into the optimal hitting position quicker than conventional bat handles, allowing players to square up to the ball better.

In addition to providing players with equipment, Easton will also once again set up its advanced HIT LAB™ experience, which emphasizes Easton's commitment to the "Science of Hitting." The HIT LAB features an interactive hitting system that uses swing analytics to custom fit a player's swing to the optimal bat. The experience has been enhanced this year to also include Blast Motion Power Sensor Technology, which provides specific analytic feedback including swing speed, plane and efficiency. This data contributes to their overall EASTON Power Efficiency Score that is reviewed with EASTON product experts to help determine the best bat fit and style for the tournament.

As the Official Equipment Supplier to Little League Baseball and Softball, Easton also provided equipment to teams participating in the Little League Baseball Intermediate 50/70 Baseball World Series in Livermore, Calif., the Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Ore., and the Big and Senior League Softball World Series events in Lower Sussex, Del.
