Innovative Approach to Personal Mobility Launches on Indiegogo

Smart Crowdfunding is slated to carry out strategic marketing initiatives for the Johanson3 crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The campaign is fundraising to bring an innovative new mobility scooter to market.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The next generation of personal mobility scooters is about to hit the market. This scooter, called the Johanson3, was created by company CEO Johan Neerman who has 45 years of experience in the transport design and mobility field. He created this scooter to combat the archaic public transportation systems that are congesting modern city streets. The Johanson3 is being brought to market via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign which was launched on August 15th. The campaign has a funding goal of a little over $1.7 million, which they hope to raise by the close of their campaign on October 14th. This scooter is promising to be the future of mobility for anyone who lives in crowded urban areas, or simply seeks a quick and easy way to get around.

Johan Neerman is passionate about making a real difference for mankind, and he saw a great need for the Johanson3 when confronted with the escalating smog problem and urban crowding.  "Urbanization continues to accelerate, especially in the fast developing regions of the world. Is there an alternative to traffic jams, pollution from cars, unsafe public transport, and dangerous two-wheelers? Our answer is yes! And we've called it the Johanson3."  One of the best features is that you can run around all day on this scooter without needing to refuel. It is solar-electric powered with an easily interchangeable battery pack.

While the initial motivation may have been creating a smog-free world, their scooter has several benefits beyond the environmental concerns. It will be a great economical solution to maneuvering through crowded cities, make sightseeing more enjoyable, and quick trips to the shops easier and less stressful. Rather than wasting gas running to the store, and dealing with the stress of parking and maneuvering through traffic, the Johanson3 offers a viable and affordable alternative. The bike can also be easily folded and stored, making it effortless to transport in the car.  

Neerman has created the Johanson3 to be flexible and adaptable so that the customer can alter it in order to best suit their own individual needs. It comes in five models, can hold up three adults and two kids, and up to 660 pounds in its heaviest version. This bike is suitable for anyone, and all styles of dress, from modern to traditional.  According to the inventors, "The j3 is also designed with women in mind and will allow people to wear a djellaba, a mini skirt, a dress, a sari, a kimono or a kilt". Not only is the scooter adaptable to the individual, it can also be equipped with a roof which makes it adaptable to the weather as well.  

Johanson3 has been hard at work for the last four years. They have completed all initial phases of the project, including design and functionality, and are ready to begin the next step. However, they need financial assistance to begin the manufacturing phase of the Johanson3, which is why they have launched their crowdfunding campaign. Rather than approach the banks, they have opted to offer the public an opportunity to become one of the first to own one a Johanson3.  With this goal in mind, they are offering several perks with their campaign. These perks, which serve as valuable incentives to potential funders, range in value from a "thank you" Tweet, to becoming a featured supporter on their campaign page, various Johanson3 merchandise items, or the chance to pre-purchase a scooter.
