PIPSC represents approximately 400 employees working in operations, engineering, computer service, physical science, purchasing, economic and social science specialties.

An arbitration board decision provides for a collective agreement that will run until April 30, 2017 and provides for wage increases of one per cent on each of May 1, 2013 and November 1, 2013 followed by a two per cent increase on May 1, 2014 and a further two per cent increase on May 1, 2015. There is a wage reopener for the fourth year of the collective agreement.

Also included in this agreement is the introduction of a new hire pension plan arrangement effective today plus other measures which, once implemented, would assist in sustaining the legacy pension plan for current PIPSC employees on a long term basis.
