LUDLOW, England, September 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Zengenti, software house, websites and hosting solutions provider, announces the release of the latest version of their Contensis Content Management System (CMS), R8.1.
At Zengenti, we recognise that when it comes to managing a website, everyone wants a CMS that allows the updating of content with ease. Ultimately, we want to provide our existing and new Contensis users with a hassle-free system that addresses their current and future needs and gives them a website or intranet that is fully accessible to their audience.
Simon Horan, Chief Product Officer, at Zengenti said:
"In Contensis R8.1 we've been improving content management; it's as simple as that. There are some great new features and refinements that build on the user's ability to govern the content on their website. It allows the content manager to manage information more effectively and deliver relevant content to their audience at the right time.
"For developers, there is now no excuse when it comes to presenting your content in the best possible way. Contensis R8.1 provides more building blocks, techniques and tools to deliver awesome sites quickly and easily."
Contensis R8.1 has introduced a number of new and exciting features to aid usability, including:
- With Contensis R8.1 users have full governance with images, allowing master replacement and image versioning.
- R8.1 includes full hyperlink management, giving an overview of all the images used across a website and a breakdown of the usage statistics for links.
- Plus, videos are now fully responsive using HTML5.
Users can also experience the benefits of enhanced translation workflow, which sees multiple languages created at once, each time a new piece of content is created. The inclusion of a language indicator makes it easy to quickly spot which language you're working in.
The new release management tool enables users to store up content created over a period of time and publish it all in one go. This will become an invaluable feature for many CMS users managing product releases, organisational changes and major site revisions.
Other new features in Contensis R8.1 include: Marketplace, New Recycle Bin, Administration of Forms, Audio Enhancements, Additions for Language Support, Content Schedules, File Size Restrictions, Enhanced Source Code Editor, Usage Statistics on Web Controls, Razor Properties, Local Template Editing and WebAPI Search Operators.

Scott Jenson leads a project called The Physical Web within the Chrome team at Google. The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...
