Realcomm Conference Group announced that the 5th Annual CoRE Tech conference will be held on November 10 and 11 at the Sprint corporate headquarters and Overland Park Convention Center in Kansas. Day One of the conference will include tours and education sessions on the Sprint Campus; Day Two will include a full program of education sessions at the nearby Convention Center. CoRE Tech is the premiere networking and educational event for the corporate real estate (CRE) and facilities industry focusing exclusively on technology, automation and innovation.
Over the last decade, technological advancements have (1) reduced the need for traditional office space, (2) transformed CRE information management strategies and (3) introduced a new era of smart buildings and campuses. At the heart of this change is the ubiquity of high-speed Internet access, mobile technologies and cloud-based collaboration tools. The CoRE Tech 2014 conference, with its theme, Embracing Change: REThink | Innovate | Transform, will showcase how technology continues to drive how we design, develop, lease, manage and use corporate facilities in the 21st century.
Sprint, a pioneer in the mobility industry and its partners, have developed a series of mobile technology offerings designed specifically for the CRE and facilities environment. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to tour the campus and explore its ‘Innovation Program’ focused on solving real estate problems using mobile and other leading-edge technologies.
“Technology, automation and innovation are impacting our industry at a pace never before seen and we now have the tools to radically transform the way we use and manage these real estate assets,” commented Jim Young, co-founder and CEO of Realcomm. “Hosting the event on their corporate campus allows us to showcase how mobility and other leading innovative technologies are working together to redefine the next generation of CRE and facilities.”
A few of the many Sprint mobile-based solutions to be showcased on the campus tour are: Auto & Bike Fleet Management Tracking, Wireless Lighting Controls, Wireless Sensors, Water & Leak Detection, Mobile Data Collection, Automated Waste & Recycling Management, 3G/4G Remote Surveillance, Fire Extinguisher Monitoring, and others.
“We look forward to sharing the Sprint Campus with the CRE professionals attending this year’s CoRE Tech. Partnership, innovation and collaboration drive our innovative service delivery improvements across Sprint Real Estate,” said Brian Jordan, director of real estate of Sprint. “Hosting CoRE Tech provides a unique opportunity to highlight the innovative culture and mobile solutions behind our focused efforts to strengthen and optimize its value. CoRE Tech delivers the strategic framework and tactical steps that mirror our approach throughout the industry. We believe this will create a valuable experience for attendees.”
Day Two of the conference will feature sessions that focus on the many other issues facing CRE, facility, sustainability and energy executives and explore the technology tools available that can positively impact the bottom line of their companies – from automating business processes, to general technology solutions specifically for corporate real estate organizations, to smarter “green” intelligent building technologies.
