CHICAGO, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aladdin Knowledge Systems , the leader in Software DRM, strong authentication and content security solutions, today announced that Grand County Internet Services (GCIS), the local ISP for Grand County, Colorado, will implement the Aladdin eSafe SecureSurfing(TM) solution next month.

Instead of maintaining desktop-based software that fights spyware gained through Web browsing, ISP customers can depend on GCIS to offer a centralized, value-added security service that inspects and filters Web traffic before it reaches the surfer. Providing both businesses and residential GCIS customers with "clean pipe" Internet access, eSafe SecureSurfing stands as the first- ever technology designed for ISP-managed security services. eSafe SecureSurfing helps ISPs dramatically reduce support calls spawned by spyware infections, while also greatly minimizing any frustrations on the ISP customer.

"Our customers are going to quickly see that Aladdin's eSafe SecureSurfing solution is a welcomed new security service that will set GCIS apart from other ISPs," said Eden Recor, President of Grand Lake, Colorado-based GCIS. "We've continued to see a huge rise in support calls from our customers affected by the ever-growing amount of spyware on the Web. Using Aladdin's new solution for ISPs, we will be able to significantly lower infections among our customers and decrease the number of support calls to our office. We looked at several different options and selected eSafe SecureSurfing because of its unique, centralized approach, quick implementation and ease of use. Now we won't need to hire someone specifically to service support calls for spyware and other malware our customers gain via the Web."

"By reducing spyware-related support calls, eSafe SecureSurfing can drastically impact an ISPs bottom line while also improving their customers' overall Web browsing experience," said Shimon Gruper, vice president of technologies for the Aladdin eSafe Business Unit. "The 'clean Internet pipe' technology offered by eSafe SecureSurfing helps ISPs, both large and small, by arming them with a security tool that customers are going to appreciate and value as a unique, noticeable service -- a service specifically designed to require no management by the end user. Grand County Internet Service is the latest example of ISPs that see the unmatched value in Aladdin's security technology for ISPs."

eSafe SecureSurfing's powerful capabilities include: -- Real-time Web surfing security with four-layer spyware blocking utilizing 15 anti-spyware technologies, stopping both standard and targeted spyware attacks -- Real-time Web surfing Trojan and worm blocking with full inspection of all Web page content -- Real-time Web surfing exploit, vulnerability, and AJAX client-attacks blocking - truly proactive security -- Web email security and antivirus effective for almost any Web-based email service, including Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo! Mail, etc.
