EUGENE, Ore., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Palo Alto Software today announced that its president and founder, Tim Berry, has received the Corporate Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE). Tim received the award by unanimous decision at the USASBE/SBI 2007 Conference held in Orlando, Florida earlier this month.

USASBE was founded in 1957 as the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) at the time. Its mission was to serve as a comprehensive organization of outstanding researchers, scholars, teachers, administrators, and public policy makers interested in entrepreneurship and small business.

As the organization grew, members decided to form national affiliates, and the U.S. affiliate was established in 1981. In 1985, the name was changed to the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).
