midPhase Achieves Record Growth in 2006
Affiliate program responsible for 75% of new business

By: PR Newswire
Jan. 25, 2007 04:30 PM

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- midPhase Services, Inc., a full-service Web hosting provider offering managed and shared service for consumers and small- to medium-sized businesses, announced today that it achieved record growth in 2006, shattering all previous revenue records in the company's history. Its affiliate program was responsible for approximately 75 percent of new business, according to company co-founder and vice president of marketing, Dan Ushman.

"2006 was a phenomenal year for us," says Ushman. "We grew by leaps and bounds, shattering every record we ever set for the company's growth. And most of it was due to our affiliate program."

According to Ushman, the company went from signing 1,000 new clients a month at the beginning of the year to more than 4,000 a month towards the end of 2006. In December alone, midPhase registered 4,200 new accounts.

"Without a doubt the response to our affiliate program has been overwhelming. Our market share has literally exploded since we began really promoting the affiliate program in early 2006," says Ushman.

midPhase's affiliate program works as follows: When a company, typically a Web design firm, refers one of its client's, typically a small-to-medium-sized business, to midPhase through a special tracking link on its Web site, that referring company receives a commission. The amount of commission dollars received is based on the volume of referrals. Some affiliates, according to Ushman, are sending thousands of new clients per month.

"midPhase currently manages a half dozen affiliate programs through its custom tracking software. And you can clearly see why these programs work so well," says Zak Boca, co-founder and vice president of sales for midPhase Services, Inc. "It's a win win situation. The more customers our affiliates send to midPhase, the more money they receive. And because of our successful conversion rate, right now at about 10-to-1, we are able to generate significant revenue," adds Boca.

Currently, midPhase hosts roughly 75,000 Web sites for customers in over 140 countries.
