Under the agreement, Samsung America will gain exclusive rights to distribute to Samsung-affiliated companies licenses for Vitex's proprietary Flexible Glass and thin-film encapsulation technologies.

According to industry observers NanoMarkets, flexible and/or organic devices are forecasted to grow very rapidly to over $15 billion by 2012. As thin flexible electronic circuits, displays and photovoltaics near the production stage, Vitex's hard-earned leadership role in encapsulation of these products is growing more essential.
