Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Vitex and Samsung America, Inc. Enter Strategic Relationship to Promote and License Vitex Technology
Agreement Underscores Strength and Breadth of Vitex's New Licensing Business Model, as Well as Signals Strong Endorsement of Vit

By: PR Newswire

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Vitex Systems, Inc., a leading technology developer, licensor and development service provider for thin-film encapsulation and moisture barrier films, today announced a strategic relationship with Samsung America, Inc. Under the agreement, Samsung America will gain exclusive rights to distribute to Samsung-affiliated companies licenses for Vitex's proprietary Flexible Glass and thin-film encapsulation technologies.

According to industry observers NanoMarkets, flexible and/or organic devices are forecasted to grow very rapidly to over $15 billion by 2012. As thin flexible electronic circuits, displays and photovoltaics near the production stage, Vitex's hard-earned leadership role in encapsulation of these products is growing more essential. "Samsung is one of the electronics industry's leading innovators, and Vitex has worked with various companies in the Samsung group for several years. We believe this strategic relationship will serve as a valuable model for future customer engagements, enabling us to bring our technologies to broader companies in the Samsung group," said Chyi-Shan Suen, Vitex Systems' director of sales and marketing.

"Thin-film hermetic barriers, a key enabler for flexible electronics, are necessary to achieve thinner and lighter products. This form factor is critical to extract maximum value from the product design. We believe that Vitex technologies will be needed by many companies in the Samsung group, as well as throughout the electronics industry, and we are glad to be able to play a role in advancing these great technologies," noted Chandler Park, senior manager with Samsung America.

Vitex continues to conduct research and development in the ultra-barrier film and thin-film encapsulation fields to enhance its technology and strengthen its IP portfolio while it pursues its new business model.
