Acrometis and ODG Partner to Uniquely Integrate Evidence-Based Guidelines into CLAIMExpert

Acrometis has partnered with the Work Loss Data Institute to embed their Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) into CLAIMExpert, Acrometis’ expert claims processing platform. This relationship will ensure that clients who are already seeing substantial benefits and savings with CLAIMExpert gain even more through ODG integration.

The ODG standards identify and set evidence-based claims benchmarks in order to improve outcomes. Developed through decades of research and the results of over 10 million patient cases, they are continually updated by independent authorities to account for evolving medical evidence and have 75,000 users across the globe. CLAIMExpert automatically routes files, flags anomalies and/or priorities and seamlessly integrates with existing systems to maximize savings over the lifecycle of a claim.

With ODG incorporated into CLAIMExpert, adjusters have instant access to the recommended standards of care for their claimants as well as automatic monitoring of claims based on these guidelines. If a claim falls outside ODG recommendations or thresholds set by the adjuster, an alert is sent so adjusters can take appropriate action. The integration includes an easy-to-read visual representation of the current state of claims in relation to ODG standards to allow adjusters to stay ahead of the claim and achieve lower medical costs, shorter disability durations, shorter treatment delays and more.

“This high-efficiency integration with ODG is decidedly unique to Acrometis and our CLAIMExpert workflow. We recognize the importance of evidence-based medicine in claims handling and by embedding these guidelines into CLAIMExpert we are confident that adjusters will be working on the best possible platform to effectively manage their claims,” said Acrometis president and CEO Jerry Poole.

“Acrometis appreciates the evidence-based approach to claims handling we’ve developed at ODG, and their technology platform is second to none. The ODG content, data, and tools coupled with CLAIMExpert’s tremendous claims processing proficiencies will be a great asset to the industry,” said Phil LeFevre, Director of Business Development for ODG.
