SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Attune Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class file virtualization solutions, today announced that it has appointed Thomas Wong as vice president of engineering. Wong joins Attune Systems with more 25 years of industry experience in both early-stage and established technology companies.
Wong will play a key role in setting the strategic technology directions for the company. He will report directly to Attune's chief executive officer, Alan Kessler.

Wong's recent endeavors included NeoPath Networks, which he co-founded, although left 14 months ago. At NeoPath, he was vice president of engineering from concept through on-time market delivery of the first two general-availability product launches. Wong has an impressive high-tech track record with companies such as Ingrian Systems, Healtheon/WebMD, Sun Microsystems and Wang Laboratories. He has 19 issued patents along with 10 published pending patents and is also the author of the European and International Standards on recordable compact disc file systems format (ECMA 168 and ISO/IESC 13490).
Wong has earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an MSEE from Wang Institute at Boston University.
