In regards to the additional products, we have a skin installed and we have a product that we had custom developed for us that connects to a PostgreSQL database. We've looked at slow PostgreSQL queries causing problems and have not been able to find an issue. We've also tested for the case where the PostgreSQL server is down and have not been able to create an issue. We therefor...
WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Freewebs, http://www.freewebs.com/, an Internet community dedicated to providing people with an open platform where they can easily create a website, today featured a popular website called "Sit Here" on its homepage which asks people in urban areas to try to get to know each other by gathering on their building's stoop.
The Website, which encourages people to sit on their front stoop and talk to their neighbors, addresses the decreasing culture of social interaction in cities across the United States. The site's creators formerly coined the movement "Stoop Culture", and when the Freewebs team came across the site they instantly recognized why it was becoming so popular and why traffic was increasing so rapidly.
Chelsea Briganti, Sarah Feldman, and Essence Rodriguez, students at Parson's New School of Design, created the website for a class project that asked students to start an awareness campaign of their choice, and that's when they came up with 'Stoop Culture'.
"Freewebs made it so fast and easy to create our website, and we didn't have to use codes at all -- just a click of a button and we could create a poll, a blog or even a guestbook," said Sarah Feldman. "We also didn't have to tell anyone what kind of html codes to use like on MySpace and the Freewebs url looked great on our fliers -- it was memorable and easy to understand -- simply: http://www.freewebs.com/sit_here ."
"Freewebs is an easy-to-use publishing platform which allows everyone - whether it be students, families, small businesses, organizations - to easily create a quality website for free," said Shervin Pishevar, President, Freewebs. "'Sit Here' is a great call to action and the perfect example of how Freewebs can bring people together to help express their opinions and build a community to support a cause."
"This is also a great example of why companies such as Paramount Pictures, Reebok and Sony Pictures are advertising on Freewebs," said Chris Cunningham, VP Advertising at Freewebs. "The users on Freewebs are as inspired as the website building tool is useful."
