Plone and Drupal: Different Approaches, Different Results
paul.nowak wrote: Matt, thanks for the comments. I made an error on the version of Plone. It's 2.5 Plone running on Zope 2.9x. In regards to the additional products, we have a skin installed and we have a product that we had custom developed for us that connects to a PostgreSQL database. We've looked at slow PostgreSQL queries causing problems and have not been able to find an issue. We've also tested for the case where the PostgreSQL server is down and have not been able to create an issue. We therefor...

Former CIA and Counterterrorism Experts Respond to Security and Intelligence Demands of the Private Sector
Total Intelligence Solutions Brings CIA-style Intelligence Services to Fortune 500

By: PR Newswire
Feb. 20, 2007 01:33 PM

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned national security and intelligence experts Ambassador Cofer Black and Robert Richer have launched a new company, Total Intelligence Solutions (Total Intel), to provide real-time intelligence, expert analysis and risk assessment services to commercial clients operating in an often unstable and dangerous global marketplace.

"This new organization unites experts formerly in the government space with terrorism and information warfare experts in the private sector to create an agile and responsive security service for the private sector," said Robert Richer, CEO of Total Intel and former Associate Deputy Director for Operations, Central Intelligence Agency. "By fusing the resources of these three companies together, we can offer an established worldwide network of experts who can assess the global economic, social and political sensitivities that Fortune 500 companies need to navigate."

The new company merges, under one umbrella, the collective knowledge and complimentary capabilities of three well-established intelligence and security organizations -- The Black Group, the Terrorism Research Center, Inc., and Technical Defense.

"Total Intel brings the intelligence gathering methodology and analytical skills traditionally honed by CIA operatives directly to the board room," said Ambassador Cofer Black, Chairman of Total Intel and former Ambassador-at-Large and Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the State Department. "With a service like this, CEOs and their security personnel will be able respond to threats quickly and confidently -- whether it's determining which city is safest to open a new plant in or working to keep employees out of harm's way after a terrorist attack."

Total Intel will support Fortune 500 businesses through its Global Fusion Center (GFC), a 24/7 intelligence fusion and warning center that monitors civil unrest, terrorism, economic stability, environmental and health concerns, and information technology security. The GFC fuses information from thousands of open and proprietary sources to create predictive intelligence for an international client base.

"The GFC is the nerve-center of Total Intelligence," said Richer. "On a daily basis our expert analysts are monitoring sources and international events, gathering details and evaluating a variety of risk indicators to determine trends and produce predictive analysis for our clients -- some of the world's most demanding businesses."

Total Intel provides Intelligence Operations, Risk Consulting and Homeland Security subject-matter-expert assistance to help both commercial and government clients meet their security goals. The company also offers a full line of training courses and provides technical and IT consulting services that look beyond technology to address the vulnerabilities that may cause harm from outsiders, insiders, or through accidental misconfigurations or negligent behavior.

Total Intel will be hosting an invitation-only media breakfast discussion Wednesday, February 28 at the Willard Hotel in Washington DC. The discussion will focus on the types of threats and risks facing today's global businesses and how intelligence gathering and analysis methods, previously available only to military and government organizations, can be used to help private companies mitigate economic, geo-political, terror or environmental threats and risks.
