Did you know that Studio has a built-in SQL query builder? It provides a drag-and-drop SQL query building interface (much like that used in MS Access) that can be performed against any of your available datasources, including Access, SQL Server, and the rest. To find the tool, use the "database" tab in the resource tab (the yellow disk-like icon in the lower left of the Studio interface).

Select an RDS server from the drop down box at the top of its window. (Information on creating RDS server connections is presented in the "Using ColdFusion Studio" online help available inside Studio.) Then select a datasource from the list available on that server, and then select a table. The query builder is a little hidden: right click on the table and choose "new query".
