We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.
BURNABY, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/28/07 -- Viscount Systems (OTCBB: VSYS) today announced
MESH is being installed at center to secure recent releasees. MESH readers
will be securing all doors including 65 secured resident doors and alarm
points with a central command center. This is the second facility of this
type using MESH. Due to the nature of the facility, site location
information is confidential.
"The agency initially chose MESH due to cost. Traditional systems require
masses of hardware that must be homerun to each door. With MESH network
readers they estimated savings of over $50,000 in conduit before
construction even began," noted Stephen Pineau, CEO of Viscount. "MESH
provides a full complement of security and tracking features critical in
such a facility. The status of all residents can be automatically
determined as well as any curfew violations. Monitoring can also include
whether residents have specific guest restrictions by sex or age and the
location of guests will also be monitored."
