Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

BOSTON, Mass., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- GetConnected(TM), Inc. (GCi), developer of the market-leading transaction processing platform enabling the sale of digital services, today announced it will hold an engineering career fair at its Boston headquarters on March 5, 2007. GCi plans to hire more than 20 additional software engineers, a sizeable increase in development staff, to support the company's continued growth. This expansion will accelerate enhancements to GCi's acclaimed architecture in order to deliver a commerce engine for the future of the digital services economy.

Integrated with more than 25 of the nation's largest service providers such as Comcast, AOL and Verizon, GCi's platform provides an end-to-end order management infrastructure that enables retailers, e-tailers and call centers to effectively sell video, voice, data and entertainment services. Consumers are demanding quick and easy access to new services for telecommunications, data access, VoIP, broadband, satellite TV and wireless products. With customer acquisition costs skyrocketing, the industry requires a comprehensive, unified system that connects numerous service providers, retailers and customers to offer a simple but intelligent way to understand and sign up for digital services.

"We have achieved great success with our transaction processing platform. Now, we are expanding our engineering staff to build upon our technology and create a commerce engine that will optimize and automate the selling of services through multiple channels to support the new digital services economy," said Ali I. Riaz, chief executive officer of GCi. "For software engineers that live for innovation -- those who thrive in a fun and fast-paced environment -- this is a high-growth company offering a unique opportunity for real career advancement."

The GCi engineering career fair will take place during two, hour-long sessions, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2007. Each session will include an overview of software engineering job opportunities, along with drawings for prizes including Sony PSPs, iPods, Bose Headphones and more.
