Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

400,000 .mobi Domain Names Now Registered
Global Sales Show Demand for Quality Mobile Content

By: PR Newswire
Mar. 5, 2007 02:00 PM

DUBLIN, Ireland and WASHINGTON, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- dotMobi, the company behind the first and only Internet address designed specifically for mobile phones, today announced more than 400,000 .mobi domains have been registered in 104 countries since the domain's launch in October 2006. As a comparison, only 100,000 .com domain names were registered in the first ten years of that domain's existence. The growing number of .mobi registrations illustrates that content developers are focused on delivering quality sites and applications to mobile phones.

To help ensure quality mobile content, dotMobi has developed a number of initiatives to support and strengthen the developer community. These initiatives include:

-- http://dev.mobi/ - an extensive site featuring how-to guides, tools and interactive forums to simplify the creation of mobile content. -- .mobi Site Builder - a multi-language tool, available exclusively through dotMobi registrars, to help consumers and small businesses develop .mobi-compliant web sites. -- http://ready.mobi/ - an analysis tool to test the mobile-readiness of any web site, .com or otherwise, incorporating W3C Mobile Web Initiative best practices.

In addition to general domain sales through registrars, dotMobi has implemented unique RFP and auction processes for highly desired domain names. Following a successful 2006 auction, dotMobi will include additional select domains on March 7 at Moniker's T.R.A.F.F.I.C. WEST Domain Auction in Las Vegas. The .mobi names scheduled for auction include "airfare," "areacodes," "cam," "casinos," "creditscore," "directions," "eat," "libre," "loancalculator," "models," "newmusic," "pics," "pizza," "realestate" and "singles." This selection of names is subject to change at dotMobi's discretion. Find out more about participating in the auction at http://www.moniker.com/.

"The reality is the next generation of internet content is mobile," said Neil Edwards, CEO of dotMobi. "Today's consumers want good content anywhere, at any time. The numbers reflect the commitment developers have made to reach consumers using .mobi."
