Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

NewsGator Teams With RSSBus to Deliver Content From Popular Business Systems via Dynamic, Real-Time RSS Feeds
OEM Agreement Adds Data-Connector Capabilities to Market-Leading Enterprise RSS Solution

DENVER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/07/07 -- NewsGator Technologies, Inc., the leading RSS company, today announced an OEM agreement with /n software, makers of RSSBus. The partnership will enable enterprises to access content from databases, business applications, spreadsheets and directories and deliver it through NewsGator Enterprise Server (NGES). Under the terms of the agreement, NGES customers will be able to quickly convert data from dozens of sources into RSS feeds that can be accessed via the Web, portals, e-mail clients, desktop applications and mobile devices.

RSSBus Feed Server is a highly extensible RSS feed generation engine that simplifies the process of producing feeds from existing business data sources. NewsGator will provide co-branded versions of RSSBus Feed Server, allowing NGES users to receive content and updates from many of the sources they use everyday including Oracle, Microsoft and MySQL databases, Microsoft Excel, custom business applications, and others. RSSBus also includes an online repository where users can submit and download connectors relevant to their business.

Users that depend on receiving real-time updates to database information, spreadsheet reports and business intelligence from various business systems can now make smarter business decisions whether they are in the office or in a mobile environment. By converting KPI, sales or operational data into RSS feeds and distributing that content via NGES, users can receive critical business performance metrics delivered securely and reliably to a variety of devices.

"This agreement is another important step in the evolution of Enterprise RSS as an integral component of next-generation communications and collaboration initiatives," said Dave Keller, general manager of Enterprise Solutions at NewsGator Technologies. "The combination of NewsGator Enterprise Server and the RSSBus Feed Server makes it easy for companies to combine modern enterprise 2.0 tools with traditional business applications to improve business efficiency and facilitate better information distribution."

"RSS is a highly effective method for staying informed about all aspects of your business -- your partners, customers and vendors -- no matter what applications you rely on to run your organization," says Eric Madariaga, V.P. of Marketing at /n software. "The potential for RSS in the Enterprise goes far beyond intranet blogging and team management. Continuous access to real-time data through RSS gives companies a competitive edge in business intelligence, providing them with the information they need to react quickly to business and market changes. As a leading RSS company, we are excited to form a strategic partnership with NewsGator to enable end users with broad access to critical business information though feeds."

The NewsGator-branded RSSBus FeedServer will be available in the second quarter of 2007. Pricing will be announced at that time.
