Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Medialink Launches Public Affairs Unit Under Leadership of Media Industry Veteran McCarren
Medialink Launches Public Affairs Unit Under Leadership of Media Industry Veteran McCarren

By: PR Newswire
Mar. 14, 2007 03:49 PM

WASHINGTON, March 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In response to the growing demand for specialized media tools to better serve the needs of public affairs communicators, Medialink Worldwide Incorporated today announced the launch of Medialink Public Affairs to be led by media industry veteran and Medialink senior executive Bill McCarren. McCarren established the standard for public affairs services within the press release distribution industry more than two decades ago by founding U.S. Newswire, a newswire service for public interest news sources, and managing its growth prior to its sale in 2006 by Medialink.

Based in Washington, D.C., Medialink Public Affairs will provide cutting- edge media services including micro-targeting media placements, video production and distribution, blog consulting, Web content archiving, and digital broadcast tracking. With a unique combination of experience in public affairs communications and its access to Medialink's robust digital media platform, the Medialink Public Affairs team will offer strategic counsel based on a depth of understanding about how decisions made at the federal level influence policy and the public agenda in the United States and around the world.

"The Web 2.0 momentum has ignited an unprecedented interest in public opinion and public policy, and Medialink is extremely well-positioned to address what public affairs professionals need to move the needle on their issues," said Bill McCarren, President of Medialink Public Affairs. "The Medialink Public Affairs team will be focused on helping clients, such as not- for-profit and non-government organizations, associations, universities, and the firms that serve them, to achieve their communications goals by engaging audiences with messages that resonate and educate. We look forward to helping clients broaden the reach of their messages with the power of video, primarily on the Internet."

In addition to services that harness the power of the Internet and evolving media, Medialink Public Affairs also will provide clients with traditional broadcast services such as satellite media tours, public service announcements, and radio production and distribution. All services can be provided in both Spanish and English.

Medialink Public Affairs will be headquartered at The National Press Building in Washington, D.C. and may be contacted at (202) 628-3800. For additional information regarding Medialink Public Affairs, visit its website at http://www.publicaffairs.tv/.
